Where the Candidates Stand on the Fair Tax

Rather than rehashing my reasons for supporting the Fair Tax, I thought it would be good to find where the 2008 presidential candidates stand. You may notice that some notable candidates are not listed here; the reason is because I haven’t found any public statements by these candidates on the Fair Tax one way or the other. Others that I have listed under Considering the Fair Tax, the Flat Tax, or other “tax reform” have either stated they want to remove the income tax (but haven’t mentioned the Fair Tax by name) or haven’t made up their minds on the Fair Tax. With enough pressure, I think some of these candidates can be swayed.

Tribute to the Fallen

The video I have chosen for this post is but one of many tributes for the fallen students and faculty at Virginia Tech. The tragic events brought about by a very disturbed individual have raised many critical issues which need careful consideration and debate. Having said that, it is also important to remember the victims of this horrific event. The killer who has received the media attention he so hoped for has had his moment to be immortalized by the media; those whose lives were unjustly taken deserve to have their moment to be remembered.
